Summer looks so simple from the outside. No school! Slower pace! Sunshine!

And then the second week of June hits and somehow you’re busier than you were in April, your kitchen looks like a snack bar exploded, and you’re trying to figure out how “summer break” turned into the most complicated season of your year.

The problem isn’t that you have too much to do. It’s that you’re trying to hold all of it at once. The dentist appointment and the school supply run and the trip packing list and the thing you said you’d do with the kids and the work deadline and the birthday party you haven’t planned yet — all of it, floating, all the time, none of it sorted.

That’s not a productivity problem. That’s a system problem.

Enter: the Summer Sanity Plan. Ten weeks of summer, simply outlined to help you shape your summer and make time and space for it all — the fun and the necessary. When every week has a theme, you always know where something belongs. New task pops up? Drop it into the right week and let it go until then. Not everything has to live in your head at once! (And in fact, we made a new Summer Sanity Plan printable to help you get started — read on for the link!)
