Hi friends—Dusty here. Officially, my title is Director of Community Development. But around Team Simplified, I wear a few other hats too: resident team retreat pizza maker, dinnertime question answerer, and unofficial-very official sourdough guide. I love being that person they come to—because honestly, nothing makes me happier than gathering people around food and good conversation.

There’s something magical about pulling a fresh loaf of sourdough bread out of the oven. The smell, the crackly crust, the soft and tangy inside, it feels like a small victory every time. And while the internet (hello, TikTok) can make sourdough seem like a stressful, all-day science experiment, I promise it doesn’t have to be. Once you have an established starter, whether you’ve made your own or purchased one, you can have a fresh loaf on the counter in just two days.
