Handle each item once.
Clutter builds when things get postponed. This week, try the Do It Now Rule.
Instead of setting the mail on the counter, sort it right away.
Instead of walking past something out of place, take 10 seconds to put it back.
Instead of dropping your bag on the floor, return it to its spot.
Instead of leaving the dish in the sink, wash it or put it in the dishwasher.
Instead of leaving an empty box, break it down and recycle it.
Instead of keeping a to-do in your head, write it down.
It’s a tiny shift with a big payoff. When you touch something, deal with it—no delay, no pile-up. Trust us, your future self will thank you.
Something to do today:
Reset.
Step outside for five minutes. Breathe deeply. Close your eyes. Feel the air. Collect your thoughts.
Something to do this week:
Go to Bed 15 Minutes Earlier
This week, experiment with winding down just a little sooner.
Power down your screens and create a softer, calmer end to the day
Do something restful—stretch, journal, read, or simply breathe
Notice what shifts when you give yourself just a little more rest
Set a simple bedtime reminder as a gentle nudge

Things our team is talking about this week …
We're talking Broadway shows in our team thread this week. Are there any on your bucket list? Liz and Laura saw Waitress together in the spring and sobbed their faces off. Anyone seen it?! If you haven't gotten the chance to see it on stage, you can also watch it on HBO Max (with Sara Bareilles as the main character, Jenna)!
This dress is a Simplified staple!
Lindsey shops for her pup, Penny, like it's her job (we don't judge!). This is the latest and greatest. She looks SO cute, and these hold up really wellI! Lots of dog pics in the team text! 😍
Adorable hat for your summer vacay. Always protect your face!
Beautiful earrings at a great price to elevate your everyday look. You also can't go wrong with the classic pearl—Lindsey wears these every day!
This one's for the guys: A simple card case is IN! Surprise him with a new little gift.
Each week, we're answering your real-life questions—about routines, meal ideas, work-life balance, favorite movies, and everything in between. Got a question? Leave it in the comments!
Q: What's your favorite back-to-school memory?
Emily: School supply shopping! And ice cream for breakfast the day before school starts!
Whitney: I always loved getting school supplies! Nothing beats the feeling of fresh pencils and paper.
Laura: A secret handshake or mantra at car dropoff every morning. I can still hear my Dad say to us “Be smart, be kind, be a leader” as we fist pumped him on the way out of the car each morning. Now we do the same with our girls!
Carly: Shopping at Limited Too for a few new clothing items for the year!
🩷 Have a question for our team? Leave it in the comments and your Q might be featured next week!
Substack has been such a fun, fun project for our team to be a resource for our community. We hit #1 on the Rising in Design list, and #23 top bestseller in that category!
We are finalizing our holiday promotion planning and are so excited for you to see (and save!). We're doing something TOTALLY new this year and think you're really going to love it. Can you say 12 Days of Deals …? 😏
You're hearing it here first: Save the date for the Simplified Tent Sale! Shop the absolute best deals in person on Saturday, October 18 at our warehouse in Pensacola, Florida! Emily and some of Team Simplified will be there to give hugs and help you find your favorites. We had an absolute blast last year and can't wait to see you again this year!
Carly, our content WIZARD, is finishing up some fun edits on Fall Launch videos! We work with amazing models every year for our Cover Reveal shoots (all of our models are real, long-time Simplified customers!) and we hit the jackpot again this year. Here's a sneak peek of one of our favorite cuts:
Take one of favorite summer wallpapers and make it decor—just print and frame.

My favorite time of the week is reading my Sunday scroll! Question for Lindsey, I’m recently engaged and got the simplified wedding planner. How do you use yours and what advice do you have for staying organized for your big day?
