One of our favorite tools for bringing order to the chaos is time blocking. It’s simple, powerful, and helps you create space not just for what’s urgent, but for what you actually want to do.

Sometimes, getting more done (and finding a little peace of mind along the way) is as easy as looking at your to-do list and asking: Excuse me, when will I actually do this? And if you realize there just isn’t time? That’s your invitation to give yourself a little grace, adjust your expectations, and build in some much-needed margin.

So ... what is time blocking, really? Let's talk about it! Time blocking is when you intentionally divide your day into “blocks” of time and assign specific tasks to each block. Instead of working from a never-ending to-do list, you’re giving everything on that list a home in your schedule. (P.S. This is easy-peasy in the Daily Simplified Planner because it’s already broken up by hour!)

This way of planning helps you answer that famous question: OMG, where did my day go? With time blocking, you know exactly where it went.

Why Time Blocking Works:

  1. It Helps You Stay Focused: You know exactly what you should be working on and when.

  2. It Creates White Space: You’ll naturally build more breathing room into your day.

  3. It Reduces the Chance of Overwhelm: You can stop juggling everything in your head and let your planner do the heavy lifting.
